Academic Systems® Algebra
Academic Systems Algebra is a new developmental education mathematics product intended to replace PLATOŽ Interactive Mathematics. Academic Systems Algebra leverages the proven instruction of PLATO Interactive Mathematics while adding many frequently requested tools and features, along with the flexibility provided by a brand new management system-the PLATO Learning Environment™ (PLE™). New features include:
- Complete online delivery for use in distance learning and hybrid programs.
- The ability for faculty to upload resources and re-sequence modules based on their syllabus.
- Online homework that is automatically graded, providing both students and instructors with immediate progress results.
Academic Systems Algebra contains three distinct courses:
- Prealgebra
- Elementary Algebra
- Intermediate Algebra
These three courses provide instruction for 21 mathematical topics using 62 highly interactive multimedia lessons. The self-paced, instructor guided, lessons appeal to multiple adult learning styles, and online assessments and comprehensive reporting allow faculty and students to easily monitor progress.
Academic Systems Algebra is targeted towards community colleges or universities offering developmental mathematics courses using on-campus, blended, or distance learning implementation models.
